SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The No. 16 UConn baseball (43-10) defeated Bryant 9-2 to tie its regular season record with 43 wins on the season.
Ben Huber homered twice in the victory to take the team-lead in long balls with 11 on the season. David Smith notched his fifth-straight multi-hit game with four hits.Â
The UConn second baseman scored three runs and drove in a pair and finished a homer shy of the cycle.Â
Korey Morton and Huber both recorded three hits in the victory.
Cole Chudoba earned his third victory of the year with five innings of work. The right-hander retired the first 10 batters he faced and allowed two hits on the afternoon.Â
Jack Sullivan and Garrett Coe combined to throw four shutout frames out of the UConn bullpen. The duo allowed two hits and struck out five.
Next up, the Huskies wrap up the regular season with a three-game series at Georgetown. The series begins on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Shirley Povich Field.
