Huskies Announce 2022-23 Season Schedule

STORRS, Conn. – UConn women's hockey has announced its 2022-23 season schedule, which features 35 games.
UConn is coming off one of its most successful seasons to date under head coach Chris Mackenzie which finished with their third Hockey East Championship appearance in the last five years. The Huskies finished with a 24-9-4 overall record and a 16-7-4 conference record.
The Huskies will have one exhibition game before the start of the official season: Saturday, Sept. 17 vs. Quinnipiac.
UConn will play seven non-conference games, four before Hockey East action kicks off, and three during the season.
The Huskies will open the season at home for a two-game series against RIT, September 23 and 24. Following the homestand, UConn is scheduled to play a home and home verse first time opponent Stonehill College. The Huskies will host Stonehill September 30 and then travel to Stonehill October 1.
UConn will begin Hokey East play with a home and home October 7 and 8 as they will take on rival and reigning Hockey East Champion Northeastern. UConn will travel to Northeastern on the 7 and welcome the Huskies to Storrs on the 8.
The Huskies will then have their first true road-trip of the season as they travel to Burlington Vermont to take on the Vermont Catamounts October 14 and 15. The following week, the Huskies have a home and home series with Merrimack College. To round out October, UConn will host the University of Maine October 28 and 29.
The month of November for the Huskies features home and home series with Boston College, Providence, and Boston University before preparing for the Nutmeg Classic.
The Nutmeg Classic hosted by Quinnipiac will take place November 25 and 26 and will feature the Huskies, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, and Bemidji State. To close out the first half, UConn will travel to the University of New Hampshire for a two-game slate December 2 and 3.
To wrap up their non-conference schedule, UConn will travel to Brown December 31st.
Kicking off the new year, UConn will host Merrimack College January 13, and the University of Vermont on the 14. Following the two game homestand, the Huskies will be on the road as they take on Boston College, Providence, and Maine, the 17,20, and 27 respectively before returning home to take on New Hampshire January 29.
To wrap up the regular season, the Huskies will face Boston University on the road February 3, before finishing out the season at home vs. Northeastern on Feb. 10, and Holy Cross Feb 11,17 before finishing at Holy Cross on the 18.
