MSOC face first road test at Rhode Island

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team (2-2) begins a three game road trip on Saturday at Rhode Island (1-0-3).
The Huskies are coming off their second loss of the season against Syracuse this past Monday. UConn has been averaging 1.5 goals per game through their first four games and have out shot their opponents 62-36 with 26 shots on goal. Forward Frantz Pierrot has been a spark plug for the Huskies offense. He leads the team with 18 shots, 9 being on goal. Sophomore midfielder Mateo Leveque is the Huskies leader in points with five. He has scored one goal and tallied three assists in UConn's first four games.
Rhode Island is coming into Saturday's match having tied their past two games at Providence and against UMASS Lowell. The last time these two teams met was last year at Morrone Stadium, where the Rams beat the Huskies 1-0. UConn leads the all-time series 9-1.
Kickoff is set for 7:00pm at the URI Soccer Complex in Kingston, Rhode Island.
