Huskies Fall to #3 Quinnipiac in CT Ice Championship

HAMDEN, Ct. – The UConn Huskies fall to no. 3 Quinnipiac in the CT Ice championship game by a final score of 4-3. Justin Pearson, Samu Salminen, and Hudson Schandor were the goal scorers for the Huskies.
Quinnipiac opened the scoring early as they capitalized on a hooking penalty by Roman Kinal. UConn didn't take long to respond as Justin Pearson picked up the loose puck and fired a shot past Quinnipiac netminder Yaniv Peters for the equalizing goal. With time running down in the first period Quinnipiac scored to retake the lead heading into the period break.
