UConn Set to Face Fairfield University

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team is set to face Fairfield University on Wednesday, Feb. 1. UConn will be hosting its first home indoor match of 2023 at Magic Lincer Tennis Academy.
Entering the matchup, UConn dropped the first match of the indoor season 7-0 against Boston College, respectively. The Huskies look to bounce back after putting up tough battles last time out. Aleksandra Karamyshev kept a close fight at third singles and forced a tiebreaker in the second set. The first and second doubles pairs also finished out strong matches. Olivia Wright and Maria Constantinou as well as Karamyshev and Isabel Petre Bere both fell short in a close 6-4 score.
Scouting the Stags
Heading into the matchup, Fairfield is 0-1 in the 2023 season. Last Saturday, the Stags lost 4-0 against St. John's. Lize-Alet Morkel battled in a close first set at first singles but fell short 6-4.
