Huskies to Begin Two Game Road Trip Friday

STORRS, Conn. - Â The University of Connecticut women's volleyball team is set for a two game Big East Road trip. The Huskies kick off the road trip with a game Friday October 27 against DePaul, before heading to Marquette University Saturday, October 28. Both games can be streamed live on Flo Sports.
The Huskies will kick off the road trip in Chicago to take on DePaul University. The two teams have already faced once this season, with the Blue Demons coming away victorious in a five-set thriller at the UConn Volleyball center in Storrs.
DePaul currently has an 11-10 overall record and a 4-6 record in conference action. With the season slowly approaching the end, every team is still in the hunt to be one of the top six teams to head to the Big East tournament.
Leading the way for the Huskies is sophomore Emma Werkmeister who has 247 kills this season. Not far behind her is graduate student Cera Powell with 173 total kills and freshman Mya Ayro with 163 kills.
Following the game against the Blue Demons, the Huskies will face off against Marquette who currently sits atop the conference with a 9-1 overall record. The matchup in Milwaukee will be the second time these two teams have faced off. The Huskies and Golden Eagles faced off earlier this season in Storrs, which resulted in Marquette winning in four sets.
The Huskies and Blue Demons are set to begin at 8pm Friday October 27, while the game against Marquette is set to begin at 7pm.
