UConn Set to Face Merrimack

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team is set to host Merrimack at Magic Lincer Tennis Club in Manchester, CT on Saturday, Feb. 4.
Entering the matchup, UConn stands at 1-1 overall to start the 2023 season. The Huskies won its first home indoor match by a score of 6-1 against Fairfield last Wednesday.
Although a slow start in doubles play, UConn came back swinging in singles play. All six points were awarded to UConn as Aleksandra Karamyshev clinched the match at third singles taking a 6-1, 7-5 victory.
Scouting the Warriors
Heading into the matchup, Merrimack is 1-4 overall in the 2022-23 season. Last time out, the Warriors lost 7-0 against Dartmouth College on Sunday, Jan. 29. Allyson Nerf battled in second singles but fell 6-3, 6-1.
First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m. EST on Saturday.
