UConn Field Hockey Welcomes McKenna Twins

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn Field Hockey team welcomed two additional players to their roster in mid-January at the start of the spring semester. Natalie and Olivia McKenna are twin sisters from Northport, New York who enrolled at UConn early for the spring of 2023.
Both girls were named to 2022 NFHCA High School All-American teams in mid-December; Olivia was named to the Second All-American team and Natalie was named to the Third All-American team. Natalie, the freshman goalkeeper, was selected as a Third team All-American in 2021 as well. The Northport High School field hockey team, led by Olivia on the field and Natalie in goal, won the State Championship in back-to-back season in 2021 and 2022.
When asked about what it means to have the McKenna sisters join the team early, Head Coach Paul Caddy said, "We are delighted that Olivia and Natalie have joined us early and are excited to work with them both this Spring in preparation for our Fall season. They bring great energy to the program and are integrating quickly into our team culture."
