No. 20 HookC Loses to No. 14 BC, 6-3

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 20 UConn baseball team (16-6) had its six-game winning streak snapped against No.14 Boston College (18-5), 6-3, on Tuesday afternoon at Elliot Ballpark.
The Eagles jumped out to a 5-0 lead entering the bottom of the fourth inning. UConn answered with a two-out rally, Bryan Padilla and Paul Tammaro cashed in two-out RBI singles to cut the deficit to 5-2.
RHP Tommy Ellisen threw well out of the bullpen, with 4.1 shutouts frames on just one hits and he struck out three.
UConn crept closer in the eighth inning with an RBI single from Padilla, his third hit of the game, to cut the Boston College lead to 5-3. The Huskies loaded the bases with one out but a double play ended the rally.
The Eagles added an insurance run in the ninth and Andrew Roman came on for a scoreless ninth inning to log his fifth save of the year.
UConn looks to bounce back tomorrow with a 3:05 p.m. first pitch agains the Hartford Hawks at Elliot Ballpark.
