No. 20 HookC Faces No.14 Boston College and Hartford in Storrs

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 20 UConn baseball team (16-5) is riding a six-game win streak and momentum after a three-game series sweep of Rutgers this past weekend at Elliot Ballpark.
The nationally-ranked Huskies resume their nine-game home stand with a Top-25 New England matchup against No. 14 Boston College on Tuesday, March 28 at 3:05 p.m. and squares off for possibility the final time against the University of Hartford, who is making the transition out of Division I, on Wednesday March 29 at 3:05 p.m.
UConn enters the major polls this week after winning a season-high six-straight and winners of 10 of its last 11 games. The Huskies are ranked No. 20 by D1Baseball.com, No. 20 in USA Today Coaches Poll, No. 24 in Baseball America and No. 24 in Collegiate Baseball poll.Â
In a series that dates back to 1909, the Huskies and Eagles split a pair of meetings in 2022 with each team earning victories on the road. The Eagles are flying high, with a No. 13 ranking in the latest Baseball America poll, matching their highest ranking in school history.
The Huskies and Hawks face off in a rescheduled game from March 7th. UConn is 42-16 all-time against Hartford and have won the last five meetings.Â
UConn has developed a knack for comebacks this season with five wins when trailing after five innings and three wins when trailing after eight.
The defense has been solid for much of the season, ranking 32nd in the country with a .979 fielding percentage. The offense has heated up over the past couple weeks and now rank 63rd in scoring (7.8 runs/game), 46th in stolen bases per game (1.71) and 60th in home runs per game (1.33).Â
Ben Huber enters Tuesday with a 13-game hit streak that featured a walk-off three run homer on Sunday afternoon. The first baseman is sixth in the country with 12 doubles and leads the Huskies with 18 walks this season while hitting .354.
Dominic Freeberger (.376 AVG, 5 HR, 26 RBI) and Jake Studley (.316 AVG, 20 R, 16 RBI) have also been steady presences in the UConn lineup.Â
