2023 Season: BIG EAST Player of the Year. First Team All-BIG EAST. Second Team ABCA All-Northeast Region. Started all 61 games at third base for the Huskies in his lone season in Storrs. Made six appearances on the mound. Hit .346 and tied for the BIG EAST lead with 85 hits. Scored 60 runs, had 13 doubles, seven homers and ranked second in the BIG EAST with 61 runs batted in. Third most walks on the team with 34. Slugged at a .484 clip and had a .429 on-base percentage. Swiped six bags in nine attempts. Led the team with 30 multi-hit games. Hit his first home run as a Husky and went 2-4 with four runs batted in vs. Ohio State (2/18). Collected a pair of hits and drove in two in a comeback win vs. Cal Poly. Hit a two-run home run at FAU (3/5) to help Huskies secure series sweep. Recorded a four-hit game with three runs scored at Hawaii (3/12). Struck out two in a 1-2-3 inning in his first appearance on the mound at Hawaii (3/10). Recorded three hits and scored three runs at San Diego State (3/18). Homered and grabbed a pair of hits at San Diego State (3/19) and fired a perfect inning of work on the mound to capture series win. Hit a walk-off single in the 11th inning vs. Rutgers (3/24) in the series opener. Hit a pair of home runs, drove in three and scored three runs to help Huskies sweep Rutgers (3/26). Hit a home run and tied a season-high with four runs batted in vs. UMBC (3/31). Drove in a pair and scored three runs with a pair of hits including a home run at St. John's (4/8). Went 5-12 with a pair of runs batted in during series win vs. Georgetown (4/21-22). Drove in four in shortened two-game series at Villanova (4/29). Went 6-13 with a pair of runs batted in at Creighton (5/18-20). Grabbed a pair of hits and drove in two vs. Georgetown (5/26) in BIG EAST Championship. Notched a multi-hit effort and drove in a run vs. Florida A&M (6/3) in NCAA Gainesville Regional.Â

2022 Season (Senior) -Â In his fourth and final season as a Bulldog, Freeberger was a key fixture both offensively and defensively for the Bulldogs...He was named to the First Team All-BIG South for the second consecutive season ... He is the only Bulldog to play in and start all 51 games for the team...At the plate, Freeberger hit a team-best .338 with 28 RBI, 34 runs scored in 201 at-bats...Drew as many walks as strikeouts (27) as a senior...On the mound, Freeberger appeared in 11 games all out of relief...He went 1-2 with 3.09 ERA and three saves to go along with an opponents' batting average of .081...For his work all season long, Freeberger was named to the All-Big South First Team for the second consecutive season as a utility player.Â
2021 Season (Junior) - In 2021, Freeberger developed into not only one of the top players for the Bulldogs but also in the Big South...Named to First Team All-BIG South ... Freeberger played in and started all 48 games for Asheville all the while by seeing time at seven different positions defensively...As a hitter, Freeberger hit .333 with six home runs and 30 RBI... He led Asheville in at-bats (201), hits (67), doubles (12), and triples (3)...Freeberger was particularly productive against conference opponents as he led all players with 59 hits in Big South games. Freeberger also appeared in 11 games as a pitcher where he posted a 2-1 record and recorded a pair of saves...He was also named the Big South Relief Pitcher of the Week on April 5 and the Big South Player of the Week on April 12...He is the lone player in the conference to take home a weekly honor as both a position player and a pitcher in 2021...Was the winning pitcher vs. Presbyterian on April 3 and May 7 vs. Longwood...Also notched saves vs. Presbyterian on April 3 and at Winthrop on April 9...Tallied a season-high five hits at Winthrop on April 9...Had 20 multi-hit games in 2021.Â
2020 Season (Sophomore) -Â As a sophomore, Freeberger played in and started all 16 games for the Bulldogs in 2020...As a hitter, Freeberger hit .227 with two RBI and four runs scored...Made three appearances on the mound as well totaling 2.2 innings of work...Recorded a season-high three hits on the road at Wofford on February 19...Stole a pair of bases on March 7 against Coppin State.Â
2019 Season (Freshman) - Appeared in 51 games during his rookie campaign … Made 50 starts … Split time between left field and second base while also making four appearances on the mound … Third on the team with 50 hits … Totaled 10 runs scored, 18 RBIs and 10 doubles … Also hit one home run … Had a .262 season batting average … Totaled three hits, three RBIs and one run scored versus UMBC on Feb. 23 … Hurled 3.2 innings from the bullpen with three strikeouts … Threw 2.2 innings with three hits and no earned runs in two appearances at Greenwood Field … Freeberger allowed no earned runs in three of his four outings.
High School - During his senior campaign, Freeberger tallied a .320 batting average and connected with eight doubles, which was the highest on the team ... Started every game for his high school squad with most of the start coming at second base ... Capped off his senior season without any errors ... On the hill, Freeberger had a 0.51 ERA in 15 innings pitched (two earned runs) ... Ranked the 7th-best infielder in the state of Maryland, according to Perfect Game ... Garnered Mid-Atlantic Honorable Mentioned by Perfect Game.
