Huskies Set for UConn Dog Fight Invitational

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut track & field teams prepare for the first home outdoor meet of the season at the Dog Fight Invitational on Saturday. Â
The men and women will take on the home meet with a lot of momentum from last time out. At the Raleigh Relays, five of the eight distance runners competing finished with record times placing them in the all-time record list at UConn. Â
Leading the way for the Huskies were James Maniscalco for the men and Chloe Thomas for the women as they finished in the top 20 out of 150 plus competitors. Mansicalco improved his second-best all-time mark in UConn program history in the 5,000 meters with a time of 13:56.34. Thomas also made her mark in the top performance list at UConn finishing with the seventh-best all-time mark in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:22.37. Â
The meet begins with the javelin throw at 11 a.m. EST on Saturday.
