Travis Roux Awarded Big East Men's Field Athlete of the Week

STORRS, Conn. - The Big East Conference announced Travis Roux to the Big East Men's Field Athlete of the Week award on Wednesday.

At the UConn Dog Fight, Roux threw a personal best of 50.71 meters in the discus throw which leads the conference and is the eighth-best all-time mark in UConn program history in the outdoor performance list. Roux placed fourth in the event last Saturday.

The next time Roux competes will be at the Hurricane Invite on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8 in Miami, Fla.
