Women's Distance Medley Relay Breaks School Record at Penn Relays

STORRS, Conn. - In the Women's Distance Medley Relay Chloe Thomas, Jenna Zydanowicz, Elise O'Leary, and Emily Lavarnway broke the UConn program record at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.

Last weekend, the women's relay team finished in second place overall in the College DMR event while also breaking the school record set in 2022 at 11:19.21.

Also putting up a strong time was the 4x400-meter relay team consisting of Raquel Rosa, Ta'jae Jackson, Jalah Cooper, and Emily Lavarnway as they finished second with a time of 3:40.91. That time places them 10th all-time at UConn.

UConn heads into the postseason beginning on Thursday, May 11 at the Big East Outdoor Championships in Philadelphia.
