The Huskies picked up a 95-64 win over Marquette on New Year's Eve. Redshirt junior Paige Bueckers led UConn with 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting. She added five assists and three steals. Senior Aaliyah Edwards had her fifth double-double of the season with 19 points and 12 rebounds. The Huskies had 52 points in the paint and 27 second chance points vs. the Golden Eagles.

In Omaha last season (Dec. 28, 2022), Aaliyah Edwards became the first Husky since Maya Moore to have a 20-point, 20- rebound game. Creighton comes to Connecticut on Feb. 19 to face the Huskies in Hartford.
