Huskies Set for BIG EAST Matchup against Quinnipiac

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's field hockey team is back in action Friday for a conference matchup against the Quinnipiac Bobcats. The Huskies will only play one match this upcoming weekend. The match is set to begin at 2pm and can be streamed live on Flo Sports.
The Huskies are coming off another 2-0 weekend which featured wins over Villanova and no.13 UAlbany. The Huskies have been dominant in BIG EAST action, remaining undefeated scoring 12 total goals, while keeping BIG EAST opponents scoreless. In Friday's matchup against the Wildcats, freshman Isabel Soeters had a career day, scoring her first career goal in route to a hat trick, to help the Huskies win 5-0.
Quinnipiac enters the matchup against UConn 2-10 overall and 0-3 in conference play. The Bobcats are coming off an 0-2 weekend which featured losses to conference opponent Georgetown and Lehigh, both games ending in a 2-1 win to the opponent. The Bobcats have only scored three goals in BIG EAST action while allowing eight total goals.
