No. 15 Huskies Take on DePaul Sunday

STORRS, Conn. – The 15th-ranked UConn women's basketball team (23-5, 15-0 BIG EAST) travels to DePaul (12-16, 4-11) Sunday at 6 p.m. ET. The game will air on CBS Sports Network and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97-9).
The Huskies beat No. 21 Creighton, 73-53, last Monday. Redshirt junior Paige Bueckers led the game with 24 points while adding six rebounds, three blocks and two steals. Senior Aaliyah Edwards notched 20 points and eight rebounds vs. the Bluejays. The teams were tied 31-31 at halftime before the Huskies used a 27-10 third quarter to take the lead.
With the win over Creighton, UConn clinched at least a share of the BIG EAST regular season championship and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament.
UConn is 24-1 all-time vs. DePaul, including 24-0 under head coach Geno Auriemma. The Huskies beat the Blue Demons, 88-51, on Jan. 20 in Gampel Pavilion. Freshman Ashlynn Shade led UConn with 21 points.
DePaul fell at Seton Hall, 91-78, last Saturday. This season, Anaya Peoples leads the Blue Demons with 18.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Head coach Doug Bruno is in his 38th season at DePaul.
