No. 10 Huskies Face Villanova Wednesday

STORRS, Conn. – The 10th-ranked UConn women's basketball team (24-5, 16-0 BIG EAST) plays its regular season home finale in Gampel Pavilion vs. Villanova (17-10, 10-6) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97-9).
UConn has won the 2023-24 BIG EAST regular season championship and will be the No. 1 seed in next month's BIG EAST Tournament. The Huskies have won 30 regular season conference titles, including 23 as members of the BIG EAST. UConn has won 11 straight regular season conference championships.
UConn scored its most points of the season in a 104-67 win at DePaul last Sunday. Redshirt junior Paige Bueckers scored 30 points on 9-for-15 shooting. Senior Aaliyah Edwards notched a double-double with 23 points and a season-high 17 rebounds. All five of UConn's starters scored in double digits vs. the Blue Demons. The Huskies scored 52 points in the paint and 32 points off turnovers.
UConn is 43-18 all-time vs. Villanova. The Huskies beat Villanova, 81-60, in Villanova, Pa., on Jan. 31. Four Huskies scored in double digits, led by 22 from senior Aaliyah Edwards.
Villanova fell at Creighton, 79-69, last Saturday. This season, Lucy Olsen leads the BIG EAST and ranks fourth nationally with 23.6 points per game. Â Head coach Denise Dillon is in her fourth season at her alma mater.
