No. 10 UConn Travel to Providence for Regular Season Finale

STORRS, Conn. – The 10th-ranked UConn women's basketball team (25-5, 17-0 BIG EAST) plays its regular season finale at Providence (12-18, 6-11) Saturday at 7 p.m. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97-9).
UConn finished its regular-season home schedule with a 67-46 win over Villanova last Wednesday. Redshirt junior Paige Bueckers had her second-straight 30-point game, scoring 31 on 11-15 shooting. Senior Aaliyah Edwards notched her 16th double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Edwards and freshman KK Arnold each had four steals vs. the Wildcats.
The Huskies are 46-21 all-time vs. the Friars. UConn has won the last 34 meetings between the teams. UConn alumna Kaili McLaren '10 is an assistant coach for the Friars.
Providence is coming off a 71-65 loss to Seton Hall last Wednesday. This season, Olivia Olsen leads the Friars with 14.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Head coach Erin Batth is in her first season at Providence.
UConn has won the 2023-24 BIG EAST regular season championship and will be the No. 1 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament. The Huskies have won 30 regular season conference titles, including 23 as members of the BIG EAST. UConn has won 11 straight regular season conference championships.
The Huskies begin the Tournament next Saturday, March 9, against either Providence or Butler at noon on FS1. The BIG EAST Tournament will be at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
