Chloe Thomas Breaks Outdoor School Record at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - Junior distance runner Chloe Thomas clocked a huge personal best and school record in the 5,000 meters at Raleigh Relays on Friday, March 29 with a time of 15:35.83 seconds.
That time placed her second in the event and positioned her at first in the BIG EAST, second in the northeast region, and second best in the nation. That broke the previous record set by Mia Nahom in 2022 which was run in 16:00.35 seconds.
The next time Thomas competes will be when the Huskies travel to Tampa, Fla., for the South Florida meet on Saturday, April 6.
