Huskies Show Out at Jesse Owens Classic

COLUMBUS, Ohio -Â The University of Connecticut men's and women's track & field teams outperformed the competition in the two-day meet on Friday and Saturday.Â
The Huskies had 11 top-five results, two personal records, and four first-place results. Â
On the women's side, Chloe Trudel broke a personal best in the 5,000m running a time of 17:02.90 placing third. Then, A'liyah Thomas topped the leaderboard in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.44 seconds.Â
On the men's side, Kevin Cawley ran an impressive time (3:48.66) in the 1500m taking first place. Also, Connor Hayford had a strong mark in the javelin with a throw of 59.38m. Â

The Huskies next head to the Penn Relays on April 25-27 in Philadelphia.Â
