CINCINNATI - The UConn baseball game on Tuesday has been deemed a no contest due to rain and thunderstorms ijn the Cincinnati area.
The Huskies were leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning but with the bases loaded and no outs for the Bearcats the umpires pulled the teams off the field due to a steady rain.
Since the teams had not completed five innings the game was not official and was deemed a no contest.Â
Tommy Ellisen put together a strong performance with 3.0 shutout innings and Caleb Shpur had a pair of hits but none of the stats will count due to the no contest.Â
