HookC and Xavier Suspended Due to Weather; BE Tournament Resumes Thursday

MASON, Ohio - Wednesday's BIG EAST Tournament game between top-seeded UConn and Xavier was suspended due to weather and will resume on Thursday. The game was halted in the top of the sixth inning, tied at 2-2.  The game will resume from that point on Thursday afternoon at 1 pm.Â
In the first game on Wednesday, No. 2 seed St. John's defeated No. 3 seed Georgetown, 11-9. The schedule for Thursday's tournament action sets up as follows:Â
- No earlier than 3:30 pm ET -- Elimination Game: Georgetown vs. loser of UConn/Xavier
- No earlier than 7:30 pm ET -- St. John's vs. winner of UConn/Xavier
