Marshall Potter Named BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week

STORRS, Conn.- UConn freshman thrower Marshall Potter was named BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced in a release on Wednesday afternoon.

Potter made his collegiate debut at the Harvard Classic on December 6, competing in the men's weight throw and shot put. Potter finished second in the weight throw in Cambridge with a throw of 17.58m.

The Simsbury, Connecticut, native won the shot put competition with a throw of 17.48m on his third of the day. Potter's performance in the shot put ranks ninth all-time in UConn indoor program history.

Potter and the Huskies return to action on January 17, traveling back to Harvard for the Beantown Classic.
