Alex Heard Earns All-BIG EAST Honors

STORRS, Conn. - The BIG EAST announced their post season awards on Tuesday and UConn sophomore Alex Heard (Boca Raton, FL) was named to the All-BIG EAST first team.

Heard captured medalist honors at the BIG EAST Championship, firing three under-par rounds while finishing with a 205. It was the sophomore's first collegiate win and earned him a spot at the 2025 NCAA Amherst Regional Championship next week.

Heard will head to the NCAA's as the Huskies' top-scorer this season, with a 71.4 scoring average. He's had a tremendous spring season with three top-10 finishes capped by his BIG EAST win. He has posted 16 of his 25 rounds this season at par or better.
