2017 Season: 2017 Mrs. Mary Dropo Unsung Hero Award Winner...Boosted the Huskies down the stretch, starting the final eight games behind the plate and as a designated hitter…Finished the year with .254 average, six doubles, two homers, 13 RBIs and threw out six baserunners…In final eight games, hit .270 with three doubles, two homers and drove in 7…Walked-off the Huskies in the 10th inning on an RBI single vs. URI (5/16)…Hit his first homer of his career, a go-ahead three-run shot at Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Hartford, to propel the Huskies to a win over ECU (5/18)…Hit a two-run homer vs. East Carolina (5/19)…Notched a game-tying, bases-clearing double at UC Davis (3/11) to dig the Huskies out of an early hole.
2016 Summer: Played seven games for the Chatham Anglers in the Cape Cod League...Won a championship with the Mystic Schooners in the NECBL...Played seven games plus the playoffs for the Schooners...Clubbed three doubles and drove in three in short stint with Schooners...Homered in the NECBL playoffs against New Bedford on Aug. 5
2016 Season: Played in 23 games with 16 starts as the Huskies’ backup catcher… Hit .281 with a .351 on-base percentage in 57 at-bats…Scored seven runs and tallied eight RBIs at the dish…Threw out three would-be base stealers behind the dish.
Before UConn: Spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons at UConn Avery Point...Helped Avery Point to a pair of regional championships and a 2013 district championship...Reached the JUCO College World Series in 2013...Hit .371 as a freshman and .309 as a sophomore...Named First Team All-New England in 2014.
High School: Lettered three years at E.O. Smith...Two-time All-Conference...Team captain and team MVP as a junior and senior...Also played three years of varsity hockey and was two-time All-Conference.
