2015 season: Made five relief appearances...did not allow an earned run in 5.0 innings...struck out seven against one walk...allowed only three hits...struck out four in a season-high 2.0 innings vs. Yale (March 24).
2014 season: Made seven appearances, including two starts after transferring from Mississippi State...posted a 5.02 ERA in 14.1 innings with eight strikeouts against seven walks...tossed two scoreless innings in his first career appearance vs. Yale (April 2)...picked up his first win in his first start at UMass (April 22), allowing two earned runs and fanning four in 5.1 innings...did not allow a run in four of his five relief appearances...named to the 2013-14 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. 2014 Summer: Tossed 45 innings over 14 appearances for the Kenosha Kingfish of the Northwoods Leauge...made four starts on the hill for Kenosha...recorded a 3-1 record with a 4.00 ERA...held a 35:13 strikeout-to-walk ratio...went at least five innings and allowed one run or less in three of his four starts
HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year starting pitcher who played at three schools in two states over his four-year prep career... After moving to Florida from Rhode Island, he pitched in 2011 and 2012 at Jupiter (Fla.) High School... Coached by Doug Ferguson (2011) and Andy Mook (2012)... Compiled a 3-4 record and a 2.70 earned run average for the Warriors his senior campaign and was named a Dick Howser All-Star... Registered 43 strikeouts in 30 innings pitched en route to Honorable mention 2012 Rawlings All-Florida Region accolades... Carded a 3-0 worksheet with a 1.80 earned run average and helped the 22-4 Warriors capture conference and district championships in 2011.
