2013-2014 (Junior Season): Played in 35 games...Finished with a career-best nine points on four goals and four assists...Scored his first goal of the season to help the Huskies earn a 2-2 tie at Canisius (Nov. 30)...His first goal of the season ended a streak of 50-straight scoreless games, dating back to March 3, 2012, vs. Canisius...Had a goal in wins over future Hockey East opponents UMass in the UConn Hockey Classic, 2-1 (Dec. 30), and at #9 ranked Providence, 3-2 (Feb. 11)...Scored the lone Husky goal in a 3-1 loss at Air Force (Feb. 1)...Finished third among UConn forwards with 34 blocked shots...Third on the team in the face-off circle, winning 191 of 430 (.444).
2012-2013 (Sophomore Season): Saw action in 16 games for the Huskies...Recorded one assist on the season, in a 7-2 victory against AIC at the UConn Classic (Dec. 29).
2011-2012 (Freshman Season): Played in 36 games...Registered six points on four goals and two assists...Scored his first career goal in a 4-3 victory at Canisius (Jan. 14)...Three of his four goals on the season came against Canisius...Also scored in a 3-0 win against Holy Cross (Jan. 28).
Before UConn: Played with classmate Cody Sharib for the Eastern Junior Hockey League Dineen Cup Champion New Hampshire Junior Monarchs...Recorded 13 goals and 24 assists for 37 points in 42 games played....Honored as an EJHL All Star selection for the season...Also played at Westminster Prep school prior to the Jr. Monarchs...Named captain and led Westminster Prep in scoring.
Personal: Born August 14, 1991...Ryan Christopher Tyson is the son of Eric and Karen Tyson...Has a sister Brittany (19) who plays collegiate lacrosse at Limestone College...a resource economics major.
