At UConn: Selected to the 2015-16 AAC All-Conference Team...Named Swimmer of the Week by CollegeSwimming.com on Nov. 17...Set pool record in 200-butterfly at Husky Open in 1:49.74...Took second in 200-butterfly at AAC Championship on Day Four with 1:47.03...Named to the 2014-15 All-Conference team after finishing in the top three in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle races at the Conference Meet... Had a great freshman campaign for the Huskies, setting a school record in the 500-yard freestyle in the first meet of the season... Earned All-Conference honors after winning the 500-yard freestyle final at the American Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships.
Personal: Born July 9, 1995... Son of Michael and Meike Girg... Has one sister named Sophia (15)... Computer Science Major.
