As a Sophomore in 2015-16: Won 50-yard butterfly at Husky Open in time of 26.43.
As a Freshman in 2014-15: Joined the team as a walk-on and show tremendous potential in the 100-yard butterfly.
Before UConn: Swam for the Quest Swimming Swim Club...competed in the butterfly and freestyle events...participated in the Virginia LSC Championships...ran indoor and outdoor track at Matoaca High School, earning All-State honors...broke several school records while running track, including the 500-meters, 800-meters, 1000-meters and 4x800 meter relay...was outdoor track MVP as a senior...graduated eighth in her class and was a member of the National Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society.
Personal: Sophia Michelle King...daughter of Earl and Elaine King... Has two sisters, Bethany and Natalie, and one brother, Nathaniel...physiology and neurobiology major.
