WHILE AT UCONN: Has played in five tournaments, each as an individual player, averaging 73.5 per round for 15 rounds, with six rounds of par or better, a career-low round of 67, and a career-best finish of a tie for fourth in the 2016 Til Duty Is Done Collegiate Invitational… Over the summer of 2017, reached the semifinals of the 2017 Connecticut State Amateur Championship in Trumbull… Finished in a tie for 26th in the 2017 New England Amateur Championship in East Providence, R.I… Over the summer of 2016, tied for 15th place in the qualifying round for the U.S. Amateur Championship.
SPRING 2018: Hampered by a lengthy illness, did not compete in any of the events on the spring schedule.
FALL 2017: Competed in two tournaments on the fall schedule, the Jackrabbit Invitational and the Connecticut Cup, playing both as an individual… Averaged 73.8 strokes per round for six rounds, with three rounds of par or better and a low round of 70… Best finish was a tie for 30th in the 2017 Connecticut Cup.
SPRING 2017: Played in one tournament as an individual on the spring schedule, the VGA/UConn Collegiate Invitational at Mohegan Sun Golf Club, and averaged 74.7 per round for the three rounds, with a low round of 74 twice, finishing in a tie for 26th place.
FALL 2016: Played in one tournament as an individual of the fall schedule, the Connecticut Cup at Ellington Ridge Country Club, and averaged 75.3 per round for three rounds, with a low round of even-par 72, finishing in a tie for 25th place.
SPRING 2016: Played in one tournament on UConn’s spring schedule, as an individual in the Til Duty Is Done Collegiate Invitational at Mohegan Sun Golf Club… Shot 73-67-70=210 to tie for a career-best fourth place, with a career-low low round of 67 and two rounds of par or better.
FALL 2015: Did not play in any of the five events on UConn’s fall schedule.
HIGH SCHOOL: Came to UConn after playing four years of varsity golf at Manchester (Conn.) High School under Coach Jim Kelly (no relation), serving as team captain for three years. Won the 2014 Division I State Championship, shooting 1-under 70 at Crestbrook Park Golf Course in Watertown, the first individual state champion from Manchester High in over 30 years, and leading Manchester to its first state tournament competition in more than 20 years. He tied for ninth place in the 2015 Division I state tournament. Two-time All-State selection. Won the 2013 Central Connecticut Conference championship. Also a three-year member of Manchester High varsity swim team. Took two years off from golf in middle school to bowl and won a bowling state championship and rolled a perfect 300 at age 14. Bowled in tournaments throughout New England and captured an AAU title. Still holds a 220 bowling average.
ADDITIONAL GOLF HIGHLIGHTS: Youngest golfer to ever win the men’s club championship at Manchester Country Club. Has twice shot 68 at Manchester Country Club. Qualified for the 2015 Connecticut Open.
