Athletic Strength and Conditioning Volunteer Football Internship
The University of Connecticut Football Strength and Conditioning Program is seeking to hire two to three highly motivated interns for Spring 2026. The goal of our program is to provide a comprehensive view of collegiate strength and conditioning, including programming, exercise technique, and facility upkeep. Interns will complete an educational curriculum, gain practical on-floor experience, assist with the daily setup and reset of the weight room, perform regular cleaning and maintenance, and support other duties as assigned by the strength and conditioning staff.
Potential candidates must possess an enthusiastic spirit, strong character, and demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills.
Qualifications: In pursuit of, or recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field. Experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting, as a coach or athlete. Candidates must be CPR/AED certified and possess, or currently working towards their certification through the USAW, NSCA, or CSCCa.
Compensation: This is an unpaid position with no housing or meal assistance. Internship credit hours may be obtained.
Internship Term: January 19, 2026 – May 1, 2026
