ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR COMPLIANCE SERVICES
(Administrative Program Support 2 – [P2])
JOB SUMMARY
The University of Connecticut is accepting applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Director for Compliance Services. This individual will report directly to the Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance Services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: serve as main compliance office contact for select varsity sport(s); assist in student services (housing and dining) and financial aid responsibilities in conjunction with the Director of Compliance Services; assist in initial-eligibility evaluations, and roster management; assist in numerous areas of overall monitoring (with an emphasis on Bylaw 16); serve as a resource for student-athletes, coaches, staff members and the university community regarding NCAA rules, and provide interpretations related to all NCAA bylaws; submit NCAA and conference waivers, and reinstatement cases for applicable assigned sports; and provide game day support for various sporting events.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management or related field; two year’s previous experience within a Division I or II institution’s compliance office or conference office, or at the NCAA national office (within the past five years), including demonstrated experience with the NCAA Applications Portal OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted; comprehensive knowledge of NCAA compliance and proven ability to appropriately apply rules while assisting coaches and staff in achieving objectives; demonstrated ability to produce reliable results, regularly exercise good judgment, and problem solve; excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree or higher, or working towards completion of degree; prior NCAA compliance experience within a Division I institution’s compliance office; NCAA compliance experience at multiple institutions; prior experience in monitoring multiple NCAA bylaws; prior experience with a recruiting software system.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Relocation assistance is not available. Athletic Strength and Conditioning Volunteer Football Internship
The University of Connecticut Football Strength and Conditioning Program is seeking to hire two to three highly motivated interns for Spring 2026. The goal of our program is to provide a comprehensive view of collegiate strength and conditioning, including programming, exercise technique, and facility upkeep. Interns will complete an educational curriculum, gain practical on-floor experience, assist with the daily setup and reset of the weight room, perform regular cleaning and maintenance, and support other duties as assigned by the strength and conditioning staff.
Potential candidates must possess an enthusiastic spirit, strong character, and demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills.
Qualifications: In pursuit of, or recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field. Experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting, as a coach or athlete. Candidates must be CPR/AED certified and possess, or currently working towards their certification through the USAW, NSCA, or CSCCa.
Compensation: This is an unpaid position with no housing or meal assistance. Internship credit hours may be obtained.
Internship Term: January 19, 2026 – May 1, 2026
