2021 Season: Selected in the 18th Round of the 2021 MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. Appeared in 18 games out of the UConn bullpen, logging 21.1 innings and striking out 28 while holding opponents to a .225 avg/against. Retired all four batters (1.1 IP) he faced against Southern Mississippi (2/27). Career-high four strikeouts at Coastal Carolina (3/7). Went 10-straight appearances without allowing a run from 3/20-5/9 that spanned 11.2 innings and featured just one walk and 17 strikeouts.Â
2020 Season: Did not allow an earned run in four appearances during his freshman campaign. Pitched 4.2 innings and struck out six. First career appearance came against Cal Poly (2/14) on Opening Day. Pitched scoreless frames against No. 1 Michigan on 2/21 and 2/23. Threw a career-high 1.2 innings at Hartford (3/10) to close out the season.Â
2019 Summer: Pitched in eight games for the Bristol Blues in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. Recorded 15 strikeouts in 10.1 innings and notched two saves.Â
High School: Lettered four years at Wilbur Cross High School under head coaches Jeff Farrell, Angel Ramos and Chris Roberts. Two-time captain. Four-time All-Southern Connecticut Conference selection. GametimeCT/Register Area Most Valuable Player. Set the school record with 242 career strikeouts. High honors student all four years and received New Haven Promise.Â
