2021 Season: Drafted in the 5th Round of the 2021 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. ABCA First Team Northeast All-Region. Second Team All-BIG EAST. BIG EAST Championship All-Tournament team. Finished second in UConn single-season history with 127 strikeouts. Led the Huskies and BIG EAST Conference in starts (15), wins (8), innings pitched (91.2) and strikeouts (127). His 127 strikeouts ranked No. 12 in the nation. Threw 8.0 shutout innings with 11 strikeouts vs. Miami (OH) (3/5) to notch first win at UConn. Pitched 5.0 strong with just three hits allowed and eight strikeouts at No. 9 Texas Tech (3/12). Threw 6.2 innings and struck out 11 in victory at Saint Joseph's (3/19). Fired 7.0 shutout innings with eight strikeouts vs. UMass (4/2). Notched a complete-game shutout with a season-high 15 strikeouts vs. Georgetown (4/9). Struck out 14 in 7.0 innings of work in a victory vs. Bucknell (5/1). Recorded 6.2 innings, walked zero and struck out seven in a win at Villanova (5/15). Picked up the win vs. Seton Hall (5/21) with 6.0 innings of one-run ball and seven strikeouts. Dazzled against Creighton (5/29) with 7.0 shutout innings, just three hits and 13 strikeouts in the BIG EAST Championship. Â
2020: Had to sit out the 2020 season due to transfer rules.

Before UConn (2018-19): Talented freshman who starred both on and off the mound during his freshman campaign • Finished the season with a 1.69 ERA in 10 appearances on the mound and a .316 average at the plate • Finished the season 1-0 with one save on the mound while collecting 18 hits and 15 RBI • Earned his first collegiate win and save in back-to-back appearances at NC State to help the Heels earn their first ever sweep in Raleigh against the Wolfpack • On April 27 he threw 1.0 innings of no-hit ball to pick up the win before turning around and throwing 2.0 innings of relief work on April 29 to earn the save and clinch the sweep • Made collegiate debut on February 25 by throwing one inning against ECU • Missed over a month of the season with a foot injury before coming back for the College World Series • In first game back from injury, he had his biggest game of the career going 2 for 5 driving in 3 RBI in the Heels game 1 win in the College World Series over Oregon State.Â
High School: Went to Staples High School in Westport, Conn. No. 1 overall player in the state of Connecticut and No. 22 shortstop in the country by Perfect Game • 2017 Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year • Led Staples High School to the 2017 State Championship • 2017 Coaches Association Player of the Year • All-time hits leader in the state of Connecticut • All-Academic First Team All-State • Tri-State Player of the Year • Perfect Game Third Team All-American • USA Today Connecticut Player of the Year • Hit .490 with 11 home runs during his senior season • Went 5-1 with a 1.90 ERA and 85 strikeouts on the mound.
