Before UConn: Lettered three seasons for head coach Ian Thosean at Newtown High School. Earned All-Conference honors. Was an All-State honorable mention. Also lettered four years in basketball and three years in soccer. First Team All-State and two-time All-Conference performer in basketball. Earned All-Conference in soccer. Was a captain in all three sports.

Personal: Jacksen Stewart Petersen. Parents are Audrey and Chris. Has three brothers, Todd, played baseball at UConn, Ryan and Jake, and has one sister, Kate. Undecided major.
