2020 Season: Signed by the Texas Rangers as a free agent. Was one of the top pitchers in the country in season shortened due to Covid-19. Went 4-0 in four starts with a 0.36 ERA. Led the team with 24.2 innings pitched and 24 strikeouts. Held opponents to a .167 batting average against. Notched first career victory as a Husky against No. 8 Michigan (2/16) at MLB4 Tournament with 5.2 inning performance that featured no earned runs and five strikeouts. Sealed series win the following weekend against No. 1 Michigan (2/23) with 5.0 inning stint, allowed just two hits and had five strikeouts. Pitched 7.0 innings and struck out season-high eight batters in win at New Orleans (3/1). Finished the year by moving into the top spot in the starting rotation and proceeded to toss a one-hitter in 7.0 innings of work while punching out six at Presbyterian (3/7).
Nick Krauth was a transfer from Diablo Valley College (JUCO) in Pleasant Valley, Calif. and spent one season at the University of New Mexico.
Diablo Valley College (2019): Made 15 appearances and 13 starts on the mound. Went 5-4 with a 2.20 ERA . Struck out 74 in 86.0 innings of work. Was a First Team All-Big 8 selection.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Northgate High School and in his senior year had a 2.20 ERA with a 6-5 record in 11 appearances. In 66.2 innings pitched as a senior, he struck out 64 batters and walked 20.  As a junior had a 0.50 ERA in five appearances along with a save. In 14 innings pitched, struck out 11 batters and walked five. Had a 3.85 ERA with a 1-2 record in nine appearances during his sophomore year. In 23.2 innings pitched, he struck out 13 batters and walked 16.
Personal: Nick Alexander Krauth. Parents are Kent and Wendy Krauth. Has one brother, Ben, and one sister, Rebecca. Ben pitched for Kansas University and was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 16th Round of the 2016 MLB Draft. Applied resource economics major.
