2022 Season: Drafted First Round of 2022 MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants. Out for the season with Tommy John surgery.Â
2021 Season ABCA Second Team Northeast All-Region. Second Team All-BIG EAST. Started all 51 games that he played, mainly at first base. Hit .295 with 11 doubles, one triple, 34 runs scored and slugged .543. Led the BIG EAST and the Huskies with 13 home runs and 62 RBIs. His 62 RBIs were tied for fourth most in a UConn single-season and most since George Springer had 62 in 2010. Had two multi-homer games, 18 multi-hit games and led the team with 17 multi-RBI games including a team-high seven games with four RBIs or more. On the mound, Crawford pitched in six games and made one start for the Huskies. He went 1-1 with one save and a 2.35 ERA. In 7.2 innings, he struck out 17 while holding opponents to a .172 average against. Went 2-3 with a home run on Opening Day at No. 14 Virginia (2/19). Posted a 3-4 day with a double, two home runs and six RBIs in a win at Southern Mississippi (2/28). Collected a 2-5 performance with five RBIs that featured a double and home run at Coastal Carolina (3/8). Went 2-3 with a grand slam at Saint Joseph's (3/20). Pitched a scoreless inning of relief with two strikeouts at Saint Joseph's (3/21). Notched a pair of hits and RBIs including a walk-off home run vs. UMass (4/3) that gave UConn a run-rule win in seven innings, 11-1, and completed the first back-to-back-to-back home runs at Elliot Ballpark. Had a special day in a comeback win vs. Bryant, going 2-5 with four RBIs and a home run and then came out of the pen and struck out the side to earn his first career save. Helped the Huskies complete a comeback with a pair of doubles in a nine-run eighth inning at Xavier (4/26) that featured three hits for Crawford. Made his first career start at URI (5/18) and picked up his first career win with 2.2 shutout innings with a career-high six strikeouts. Went 3-5 with three RBIs vs. Seton Hall (5/20) in series opener. Went 4-8 with six RBIs in doubleheader vs. Seton Hall (5/21). Went 3-5 with two home runs and four RBIs against Central Michigan (6/6) in South Bend Regional.Â
2020 Season: 2020 Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American. Started all 13 games at first base during shortened season due to Covid-19. Hit safely in 11 of those contests. Registered a .365 AVG with team-leading seven doubles and 16 RBIs. Scored eight runs, hit one home run and stole a base during his freshman season. He led the team with four multi-RBI games including a team-high five RBIs against No. 8 Michigan (2/16) at the MLB4 Tournament. His 12 game reach base streak and 11-game hit streak were both tops on the team. Notched his first career hit off Kumar Rocker and No. 1 Vanderbilt (2/15). Went 4-4 with three doubles and made collegiate debut on the mound (0.1 IP) to seal series win against No. 1 Michigan (2/23). Went 3-5 with three RBIs and first career home run at New Orleans (2/29). Went 3-6 with a pair of RBIs and runs scored at Presbyterian (3/7). Only made one appearance on the mound in shortened season.
High School: Played four seasons for head coach for Nick Brayford at North Schuylkill High School. Drafted in the 37th Round of the 2019 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals. Participated in the Area Code Games in Long Beach, Calif. and East Coast Pro in Hoover, Ala. Both events feature the top high school players in the country. NHSBCA All-Region. Lettered four seasons in swimming. PIAA state record holder in the 50 Freestyle. NISCA All-American. NISCA All-Region, All-State and PIAA All-State. Was a four-time state finalist. Qualified and participated in YMCA Nationals three years in a row. According to MaxPreps, hit .482 with 14 doubles, eight HR's, 39 RBIs, scored 33 runs and logged 41 hits in 26 games. On the mound during his senior season, Went 4-2 with 49 K's in 33 innings during eight appearances.
