2022 Season: Played in 18 games and made one start for the Huskies as a freshman. Was used mainly as a defensive replacement and pinch-runner. Made one start at Northeastern and made a diving catch to help the Huskies win in extras (4/26). Went 1-14 at the plate with five runs scored and a stolen base. First career hit was a triple against UMass (4/19).

Before UConn: Lettered three years for head coach Erik Everton at Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, Mass. Team captain. Also played soccer.

Personal: Zach Stephenson. Parents are Robert Stephenson and Gia Giarusso. Has three brothers, Colin, Sean, Tristen and two sisters, Shelby and Shannon. Undecided business major.
