Before UConn: Transfers to UConn as a graduate student following a solid four-year college career at the University of San Diego… Has one season of eligibility remaining, due to the fifth year of eligibility granted by the NCAA to student-athletes affected by the pandemic… Spent five years at San Diego, including a redshirt year in 2017-18… Appeared in 105 games, with 70 starts for Toreros, scoring 862 points, grabbing 237 rebounds and hitting 115 three-pointers… Averaged 8.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and shot .391 overall, .357 from three-point range, and .829 from the foul line… All-West Coast Conference Honorable Mention as a junior… Outstanding outside shooter, expected to be one of top three-point threats for UConn in 2022-23… Graduated from San Diego with a degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Business Administration.
As a Redshirt Senior in 2021-22 (at San Diego): Appeared in 29 games, with 23 starts, averaging 8.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and shooting .388 overall, .347 from three-point range and career-high .872 from foul line… Ranked in top three on the team in 5 categories – Minutes, steals, three-point fg percentage, free throw percentage, and points… Scored in double-figures in 16 games, including season-high 21 vs. UC Riverside.. Hit 3 three-pointers in a game five times.
As a Redshirt Junior in 2020-21 (at San Diego): Appeared in 12 games, starting 10, in the COVID-abbreviated season… Led team in scoring (13.3), three-point fg percentage (.377) and free throw percentage (.867) and shot .419 overall and averaged 3.1 rebounds – all were career-highs … Had 10 double-figure scoring games in 12 outings, including a career-high 23 at Santa Clara (2/18/21)… Hit 4 three-pointers at UCLA (12/9/20)… Named All-West Coast Conference Honorable Mention.
As a Redshirt Sophomore in 2019-20 (at San Diego): Earned starting guard position in preseason and started all 32 games for the Toreros, averaging 11.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and shooting .384 overall and .366 from three-point range… Led the team in scoring seven times… Had 19 double-figure scoring games, including four 20-plus games… Made four 3-pointers in a game three times… Hit 9-of-9 free throws vs. Fresno State (11/12/19).
As a Redshirt Freshman in 2018-19 (at San Diego): Appeared in 32 games, making 5 starts… averaged 2.8 points 0.9 rebounds, shot .384 overall, .313 from three-point range, and .737 from the foul line… Had his first double-figure scoring game (13) in his first collegiate start at Portland (1/17/19), with a season-high 3 three-pointers… Had two double-figure scoring games.
As a Freshman in 2017-18 (at San Diego): Sat out season as a redshirt.
Before College: Played four years at Marin Catholic High School under Coach Mike Saia.. Averaged 30.0 points per game as a senior and was named MVP of the Mirin County Athletic League and for his team and was named North Bay Player of the Year… Two-time First Team All-League… As a junior, averaged 27.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and was named First Team All-State California Juniors and Second Team All-Metro Bay Area… Played AAU ball for three years with Lakeshow AAU and one year with Splash City on the Under Armour circuit.
