Jett Johnson will return to the UConn coaching staff in 2025 as a defensive assistant. Johnson will once again be working with the UConn linebackers this season.
Johnson began his coaching career when he came to Storrs last season after a standout playing career for UConn defensive coordinator Matt Brock at Mississippi State.
A graduate of MSU, Johnson was a standout linebacker for the Bulldogs, appearing in 45 career games with 31 starting assignments, totaling 336 career tackles with 8.0 sacks. He led the SEC in total tackles (115) in 2022 and finished second in the league in 2023 (130). He was an AP All-SEC second team choice in 2023 and a first team College Football Network All-SEC pick that same season. He was also twice named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
