Before UConn: Finished his high school career playing for head coach Wayne Babbs at Mount Vernon Presbyterian high school. Following high school went on to play for head coach Steve Buckley at Jones County Junior College in Mississippi. In his freshman season at Jones county Bembry recorded 36 tackles, and helped lead the team to an 10-2 overall record and a 6-0 conference record… Following his time at Jones County, Bembry committed to the University of Kentucky. As a junior in 2020 Bembry played in all 11 games for the Wildcats finishing with 27 total tackles and a career high 10 tackles in one game.
