Before UConn: Originally from Greensboro North Carolina, finished his high school career at Dudley High school before committing and playing at Old Dominion University. In his senior year Fitzgerald helped lead his team to a 10-3 record and had 51 receptions for 973 yards and 15 touchdowns … Honored as an All-Area and All-Conference First Team selection twice. At Old Dominion, Fitzgerald had 14 receptions in 12 games for 219 yards, including a career-long 45 yard catch.
