Andrew Hurley moved into a graduate role on the UConn coaching staff ahead of the 2024-25 season. He joined the staff after a four-year playing career as a walk-on for his father and the Huskies, playing in 43 career contests and dribbling out the National Championship victories in both 2023 and 2024.
In his role on the UConn staff, Hurley plays a role in scouting, practice, video and roster management.
Connecticut won all 43 games in which Hurley appeared during his UConn career, earning the nickname of ‘the closer’ from Dan Hurley. He totaled 12 points, six rebounds, an assist and two steals as a Husky. While on the roster he provided the Huskies with valuable practice depth and was a strong locker room presence before graduating in 2024 with a degree in psychology.
Prior to his time at Connecticut, Hurley played two years at East Catholic High School in Manchester, helping East Catholic to a 50-2 record from 2018-20 and winning the Division I State Championship in 2019. He began his high school career with two seasons at Bishop Hendricken in Warwick, R.I.
