Before UConn: Competed at Suffield High School under head coach Domenico Casolari... Served as cross country team captain in 2012 and 2013... Named to the All-New England Cross Country team in 2013... Also served as men's track and field captain in 2014.

Personal: Son of Brendan and Linda Begley... Has one brother (Joe, 22), and one sister (Nina, 17)... A mechanical engineering major.

2018 (Senior)

-Ended his cross country career by earning All-Northeast honors with a 12^th place finish at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship, recording a 10K time of 33:16.1 in Buffalo, N.Y.

-Grabbed All-AAC honors for the second-straight season after posting a 9^th place finish in New Orleans at the conference championship. Ran the 8.4K course in a time of 27:54.0.

-Made his season-debut at the Princeton Invitational, taking 8^th in a time of 24:20.8 on the 8K course.

2017 (Junior)

- Was 21^st at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship, posting a 10K course time of 32:35.9 in Buffalo, N.Y.

-Posted a 6^th place finish at the AAC Championship, earning All-AAC honors. Finished the 8K course in 25:26.8.

-Ran in 20^th place at the Paul Short Invite, posting a personal best 8K course time of 23:59.8.

-Opened the season by winning the UMass Minuteman Invitational, posting a 6K course time of 18:56.6.

2016 – Red-shirt season

2015 (Sophomore)

-Posted a time of 32:17 at the 10k NCAA Northeast Regional at Franklin Park in Boston. Took 80th place in the field.

-Finished 19th at the AAC Championship in North Carolina, posting a time of 24:43.06 on 8K course

-A third place finish helped the Huskies win the Rothenberg Run, clocking in at 25:08.5 on the 8K course.

-Was the top-Husky finisher at the Paul Short Invitational, crossing the line in 25:05, taking 58th place in the field.

2014 (Freshman)

-Finished 151st at the NCAA Northeast Regional in Bronx, N.Y., completing the 10k race in 33:00.51

-Took 17th at the 2014 Rothenburg Run, helping UConn claim a second-place finish
T-Was the third Husky (201st overall) to cross the line at the 2014 Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa.
