WHILE AT UCONN: Will serve as team co-captain for second consecutive season in 2018-19… One of the best career golfers in UConn program history... Has played 34 tournaments, every event on the UConn schedule, for the last three years… Has averaged 73.0 per round for 98 rounds, with 42 rounds of par or better, 17 sub-70 rounds and has shot a career-low of 64 as well as 65 twice…Set a UConn record with a stroke average of 71.6 during 2017-18 year… Has won two tournaments (2016 Doc Gimmler Invitational, 2018 FAU Spring Championship), has 13 Top 10 and 19 Top 20 finishes… Two-time American Athletic Conference All-Conference and two-time Division I PING All-Northeast Region Team pick…A 2017 New England Golf Coaches All-New England Team pick… Named to American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team three consecutive years… Named a 2018 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America… Over the summer of 2016, finished in a tie for 35th place in the New England Amateur Championship.
SPRING 2018: Played in seven events for the Huskies, averaging 71.7 per round for 20 rounds… Earned five Top 20 finishes and two Top 10s, including medalist honors at the 2018 FAU Spring Championship, the second tourney win of his career… Had 10 rounds of par or better, four sub-70 rounds,, including a career-low 64 at the FAU Spring Championship.
FALL 2017: Played in all five of UConn’s events on the fall schedule, with three Top 10 finishes, including a best-finish tie for third in 2017 Connecticut Cup… Averaged an outstanding 71.4 strokes per round for 15 rounds, with nine rounds of par or better, five sub-70 rounds, and a low round of 66.
SPRING 2017: Played in all six events on UConn’s schedule, with two Top Five and four Top 10 finishes… Averaged 72.8 strokes per round for 17 rounds, with eight rounds of par or better and a low round of 69… Best finish was a tie for third at the VGA/UConn Collegiate Invitational at Mohegan Sun Golf Club… Finished tied for eighth at the American Athletic Conference Championship, best finish ever for a UConn player at the AAC Championship.
FALL 2016: Named AAC Golfer of the Month for September after winning the Doc Gimmler Invitational with three sub-70 rounds and an 11-under 199… Played all five of the events on UConn’s schedule, averaging 71.3 per round for 14 rounds, with eight rounds of par or better, six sub-70 rounds and two low rounds of 65… Best finish was first at the Gimmler Invitational.
SPRING 2016: Played in all six events on UConn’s spring schedule, averaging 76.0 per round for 18 rounds… Had a low round of 70, with two rounds of par or better, and a best finish of a tie for 16th at the Til Duty Is Done Collegiate Invitational.
FALL 2015: Played in all five events on UConn’s fall schedule, averaging 74.6 strokes per round for 14 rounds… Had a low round of 69, with five rounds of par or better, and a best finish of eighth place in his first collegiate tournament, the Hartford Hawks Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL: Came to UConn after playing four years of high school golf at Hopkinton High School under Coach Dick Bliss, serving as team captain for three years. He was two-time MVP of the Tri-Valley League and a four-time Tri-Valley League 1st Team All-Star. Helped lead Hopkinton to a perfect 18-0 regular season and a third-place finish at the Division 2 South Shore meet. Named to the Metrowest Daily News Golf Super Team.
ADDITIONAL GOLF HIGHLIGHTS: Won the 2015 Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championship … Runner-up at the U.S. Amateur Sectional qualifier, allowing him to compete in the 2015 U.S. Amateur Championship at Olympia Fields (Ill.) … Finished 16th at the 2015 New England Amateur Championship … Finished 7th at the 2015 Western Junior Championship … Won the 2013 Francis Ouimet Junior Championship and finished second in the tournament in 2014 … Won the 2014 Spinal Technology Match Play … Finished second in 2014 Liberty National Junior Invitational, second in 2014 Northeast Junior Classic, fifth in 2014 AJGA New Era … Member of Team New England.
