2021-22 Alternate Captain

2020-21 (R-Sophomore Season): Made his return to the ice after missing all of 2019-20 and played in 16 games...Finished the season with six points coming on a goal and five assists...Was +6 for the season...Blocked 12 shots...Had the game-winner to help the Huskies to a road win at New Hampshire (Jan. 1)...Picked-up a career-high two assists to help the Huskies to a win at home over No. 2 Boston College (Dec. 12)...Matched that two-assist total in a home win over UNH (Jan. 15)...Came back the next night with an assist at UNH (Jan. 16) to help UConn to a weekend sweep.

2019-20 (Sophomore Season): Sat out his sophomore season due to injury.

2018-19 (Freshman Season): Only rookie to see action in all 34 games…Ended the season with seven points on one goal and six assists…Led all rookies on the squad in blocked shots with 29 and sat ninth among all Hockey East rookies…Had 11 penalties on the season, tied for most on the squad…Had a season high five shots on goal in the first game of the season at Army (Oct. 12)…Scored his first and only goal of the season at Northeastern (Nov. 09)…Had his only multi-point game of the season that same night picking up an assist…Had an assist on the first goal of the night in the 3-2 OT win against then No. 13 Northeastern (Feb. 07)…Picked up an assist in the game winning goal against then No. 2 UMass (Mar. 08).

Before UConn: Played for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL...Appeared in 51 games this past season, scoring a goal with seven assists…Was fourth among the team’s defensemen…In 2016-17, Kinal was a member of the Wichita Falls Wildcats of the NAHL where he played in 53 games…He scored three goals with nine assists for 12 points…Attended Clarkston High School.
