Manny Hatzikostas is in his seventh year with UConn Athletics and enters his third year as Assistant Director of Communications. He serves as the Sports Information Director for the Men's Soccer, Women's Hockey, Softball, and Rowing programs.
Hatzikostas previously served as the Director of Operations and Assistant Director of Athletic Communications for the softball and men's soccer programs from 2022-2024. In this role, he managed team travel logistics, meal planning, program events, statistical operations, and the social media platforms for both programs.
Hatzikostas began his career with UConn Athletics in 2020 as the Director of Soccer Operations for the men's soccer program, a role he held into 2022. He was responsible for coordinating team travel logistics, internal ticket promotion, community outreach, fundraising events, and overseeing student managers. During his tenure, he played a key role in driving ticket sales, promoting matches, and enhancing fan engagement. Under his leadership, UConn ranked No. 1 nationally in NCAA Division I men's soccer regular season fan attendance in 2021, averaging 2,800 fans per game.
Hatzikostas graduated from UConn in 2020 with a bachelor of science degree and earned his master's degree in Sport Management in 2022.
Hatzikostas grew up in Rocky Hill, Connecticut and graduated from Rocky Hill High School. He currently resides in Vernon, Connecticut with his wife Laura.
