Tavarus Ferguson joined the UConn sports medicine staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer prior to the 2018-2019 academic year. He will be working with menโs soccer and womenโs rowing.
Tavarus comes to UConn after working at UNC Asheville from 2016-2018 where he worked primarily with menโs soccer while providing secondary coverage to womenโs swimming, menโs and womenโs track and field, and womenโs tennis.
Prior to UNC Asheville, Tavarus completed a Masters in Arts with a concentration in Sports Management at East Tennessee State University while being a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with menโs soccer. He was also the host Athletic Trainer for the 2015 Southern Conference Menโs Soccer Championships.
A native of Evans, Georgia, Tavarus completed his Bachelorโs in Athletic Training at Gardner-Webb University in 2014 while competing on the track and field team.
