WHILE AT UCONN: Will serve as team co-captain for second straight season in 2018-19… Has played in 25 tournaments for UConn, including every event on the schedule in 2016-17 and 2017-18… Has averaged 73.7 per round for 72 rounds, with a tie for the team-best low round of 64, seven sub-70 rounds, and 24 rounds of par or better… Has posted five Top 10 and six Top 20 finishes, with two career-best finishes of a tie for fifth place… Named to the 2016-17 New England Golf Coaches All-New England Team… A three-time pick to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Teams… Won the 2018 PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship at Port St. Lucie, Fla., successfully defending the title he won in 2017. In 2018, he dominated the field to win by 12 strokes, shooting a 1-under 215. In the 2017 event, he shot an 8-under 208 to top a 25-player field.
SPRING 2018: Played all seven events on UConn’s spring schedule, averaging 74.5 strokes per round for 20 rounds… Had one Top 10 and one Top 20 finish, a tie for eighth, in the two-round Lehigh Valley Collegiate… Had five rounds of par or better, one sub-70 round, which was his low round of 69 at the Loyola Intercollegiate.
FALL 2017: Played in all five events on UConn’s fall schedule, averaging 72.9 strokes per round for 15 rounds… Shot seven rounds of par or better, with a low round of 68 in the first round of the Ka’anapali Classic in Hawaii… Had one Top 10 finish, his best finish of a tie for ninth in the 2017 Connecticut Cup.
SPRING 2017: Played in all six events on UConn’s spring calendar, averaging 73.6 per round for 17 rounds, with five rounds of par or better, two sub-70 rounds, including a low round of 67… Had two Top 10 finishes, including tying a career-best finish of a tie for fifth in the Loyola Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Ariz.
FALL 2016: Played in all five events on UConn’s fall schedule, averaging 72.7 per round for 14 rounds, with seven rounds of par or better, and three sub-70 rounds, including a career-best 64 at the Macdonald Cup on the Yale campus in New Haven, Conn… Had a career-best tied for 5th place finish at the Gimmler Invitational at Bethpage State Park, playing as an individual and shooting a 4-under 206.
SPRING 2016: Played in two tournaments on UConn’s spring schedule, the FAU Slomin Autism Championship and the Til Duty Is Don Collegiate Invitational, both as an individual… Played six rounds, averaging 76.2 strokes per round, with a low round of 73 and a best finish of a tie for 45th place in the Til Duty Is Done.
FALL 2015: Did not play in any of the five events on UConn’s fall schedule.
HIGH SCHOOL: Came to UConn after playing four years of varsity golf at Columbus (Ohio) Academy under Coach Craig Yakscoe and Coach Steve Evans. As a senior, led Columbus Academy to the Ohio Division III State Championship. Named All-Ohio Second Team All-State. Named Mid-State League Golfer of the Year. Also was Columbus Academy’s low golfer as it captured District and Sectional titles. Co-medalist at the Mid-State League Postseason Tournament after leading Columbus Academy to the MSL-Ohio Division championship with a 17-1 record. Named First Team All-District, First Team All-League, and Team MVP. As a junior, helped Columbus Academy finish as runner-up at the State Championship, second at Sectionals, second at Districts and was named First Team All-MSL, First Team All-District. As a sophomore, helped Columbus Academy finish in a tie for second at the State Championship, second at Sectionals, second at Districts, and was named First Team All-League, Second Team All-District. As a freshman, named Second Team All-League, placed second at Sectionals.
ADDITIONAL GOLF HIGHLIGHTS: Placed second at AJGA Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior and received award for low third-round score of 66 … Finished sixth at AJGA Junior All-Star (Red Tail Golf Club) … Placed eighth at Under Armour/Jeff Overton Championship (Otter Creek Golf Course) … Finished 13th at Under Armour/Scott Stallings Championship (Oak Ridge Country Club) … Placed 14th at Memorial Junior (Longaberger Country Club).
