As a Fifth Year Senior (2023): Team Captain. First Team All-BIG EAST. Third Team NSCAA East Region. Started all 19 matches. Fourth in minutes played with 1442. Scored career-high four goals and chipped in an assist. Scored in victory vs. UNH (9/3). Notched a goal and an assist in road win at DePaul (1012). Scored in win at Seton Hall (10/26). Tallied a goal in BIG EAST Quartefinal victory (10/29) vs. Butler. Played all 90 minutes in BIG EAST Quarterfinals and BIG EAST Semifinals (11/2).
As a Senior (Fall 2022): Team Captain. Played in all 18 matches and made 17 starts. 5th on the team with 1349 minutes played. Scored a pair of goals including one game-winner. Notched first goal of the season in a 6-0 rout of Syracuse (8/21). Scored in BIG EAST opener at Creighton (9/22) to lead Huskies to victory.
As a Junior (Fall 2021): All-BIG EAST Second Team ... played in 14 games with 13 starts ... totaled 1159 minutes ... had one assist vs. CCSU (8/21) ... helped the UConn defense hold opponents to 1.14 goals per game.
As a Sophomore (Spring 2021): United Coaches East Region Second Team. First Team All-BIG EAST. Started all 12 games for the Huskies. Tied for sixth in the BIG EAST and tied for the team lead with three assists. Scored a pair of goals. Her seven points ranked third on the team. Both goals came against Seton Hall (3/14). Picked up an assist in first game of the season vs. URI (2/21). Registered a helper vs. St. John's (3/11).
As a Freshman (2019): Named to the American Athletic Conference All-Rookie team. Played in all 17 matches and made nine starts as a freshman. Scored first career goal against Harvard (9/15). Registered 29 shots during the year including career-high five vs. Providence (8/22) in her collegiate debut.
High School: Played high school soccer at Saint Joseph High School in Trumbull, Conn. 2018 High School Girls' National Player of the Year, becoming just the fifth Connecticut player to take home the honor. She helped Saint Joseph win three Class-L State Championships and the 2017 FCIAC title. While at St. Joseph, she was a two-time captain, three-time All-State, four-time All-FCIAC and three-time All-Region honoree. Mazo played club soccer at Yankee United and was a three-time All-American while also taking home CHSCA Girls Soccer Player of the Year honors. Off the field, Mazo earned National Honor Society status and was an honor roll student every year of high school.
